Roller Frame Sizes 9, 9 1/2

Is it just me or have the frames always came in a 9 inch. All my former covers were 9 1/2 along with my frames. Mistakenly I picked up a bag of 9's. Not realizing my frames are all 9 1/2.

I too have seen various sizes of rollers over the years but i thought 9" was standard, along with 18" too for those who like them. I wonder if the 9 1/2" is a metric size?

I wonder if the core is 9 1/2" or if the nap extends 1/4" over on each end due to a cheaper less precise manufacturing process.

Well, you know how us guys exaggerate. The claim of 9" is probably much closer to 6 or 7".
