Is this what you call a preparation. The result is appalling...
Here in England it takes at least a week to paint the house this size. All wooden windows though, that have not been touched for many years... a lot of prep work before you even touch the paint. Have a look at LGC Decorators work here:

What's the weather like? Most coatings are temperamental if it gets too cold.

This thread is over 2 years old, don't think temps had anything to do with a hack job on a house that needed a lot of attention in prepping.
