Airless Conversion

Has anyone converted their airless to an air assist? Thinking of doing this to our Nova 395. It sits most of the time not being used. Seems like the gun is the biggest expense. Otherwise it's a new house set and air regulator.

Re: Airless Conversion

Get the G-40 gun, you'll need a regulator and water separator.

Air hose to the gun use a light weight hose. You can use the pumps fluid hose (unless you want to go to a 25' hose, I run the 25' pair).

I run the 395 AAA off the shop compressor when it is in the shop. It's much easier on the ears. My AAA has auto off on the compressor when you release the trigger, the onboard compressor is just to damn noisy.

You need flat tips for the G-40. The gun has a RAC holder, if you're using the RAC holder, you do not get air assist.

The other gun to look into is the Kremlin Excite, from what I have read it is the best AAA gun on the market. Make sure it will handle the 4000 PSI your Nova can produce.

I'll take a few pics tomorrow.

Re: Airless Conversion

The G40 is what I was looking at. I would probably do a hose set just to keep it all together. Would like to see pics. Thanks!
