tile guy making client put in second new shower-liner

i guess its my fault.
client being her own g.c.
i`m the carpenter-sub this time ( i`m usually the co ordinator)
install the green board , and hardi-backer in shower area
there was a double p.t.-curb there
so i installed hardi backer on it
tile guy came , and said it was compromised because i screwed into it.
ok... so if your not wanting screws in the curb , which i get , shouldn `t you tell me , and also make a concrete curb?
also he did say i put screws too low on the sheets of hardi-backer on the other wall, i did put 4 or 5 of them about 4-5 inches from the shower floor.
turns out i knew him from years back, i would run into him at home depot every year , and i know he does an excellent job
i just felt thrown under the bus .
was he being obsessive ,demanding another shower-liner , and should i just swallow my ego here ?.

still pissed , client and designer wanted to co ordinate their own subs to keep cost down , and but didn`t really co ordinate
plumber demo`ed but left toilet , so i had to remove it ,
he asked me to bring out back wall 3/4 inch , so i ran 1x4 horizontally , and he griped he didn`t like it that way.
a/c guy installed exhaust fan , and a/c duct wrong ,, where i had to remove and re-install both .
electrician , roughed in for lights , but didn`t hook up the exhaust fan , so i had to do it .
i never said a word.

the curb was a double p.t. 2x4 already installed ,is what i meant in that post

If the screws are a couple of inches above the curb, you’re good to go. Nothing wrong with you installation.

They were going to install the tile on a 2x4? Can’t do that, it needed the backer on the curb.

Tell them to waterproof the curb.

So you screwed through the pan liner close to the floor?
