Schluter Ditra Heat System

Anybody used it? With the Ditra especially made to accept the heating wire, it seems to be a nice way to go and very comparable in price.

What's been your experience?

How long does it take to heat up?

Will you use it again?

Thanks.

Re: Schluter Ditra Heat System

I've installed 1000's of feet of the Ditra Heat.

Only good ones.

No longer than any other system.

Yes.

Re: Schluter Ditra Heat System

We used it on a large master bath we did last summer. The install went easy, except for trying to use all the wire up because it was ordered larger than it should have been.

Fixed that problem by running it behind the tile and under the stone slab on the bench 😀 I figures the homeowners wouldnt mind that surprise.

I plan on using it in the mudroom I'll be doing at my house this summer.

Love it. Easy, looks clean and sharp during install. Heats the same as other systems. I've been using nuheat wire and thermostats with the ditra heat mats.

Once I tried Ditra Heat, I never looked back.

I've done a few installs now, and having nothing but love for it.

Re: Schluter Ditra Heat System

My tile sub uses the ditra mat with warm wire brand wire. I've always wondered if that was an invitation for trouble. Our oldest install is a little over a year now, and doing fine though.
