Champion 4

Thoughts on this toilet, price reliability? http://www.csnstores.com/asp/show_de...6&PiID=2363599

We have had a few threads in the past about the flush valve, I think? being a problem, but someone may have a new opinion now.

Anyone use one of these? $99 at Sam's club. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/pr...Id=176975#spec

The best buy for me, and the plumbers around here install them all the time are the cheap Mansfields....from our local Locke Supply.....the builder grade Toto's are around $130.

Re: Champion 4

I haven't used American Std. for years.
Got real tired of poor design and even worse quality control. remember back in 2000....they introduced the "smart" valve, I had to replace most of them.

Re: Champion 4

I install alot of Champion 4. Never heard anyone complain yet about them. The plus factor for me with them. They come in bone or white and most places only carry white. Bone is now a special order. Lately it has been more bone tubs and bone toliets

Re: Champion 4

Anyone else have any recommendations? I have to buy 4 of these for my new home.....typically we use builder grade Mansfields, or in Customs now, my plumber recommends Toto's.

The Alexi toilet at Sam's Club is no doubt an import, but at $99?

Re: Champion 4

installed 4 of these about 18 months ago in our building (which holds a lot of events and gets a lot of use) and we haven't had any problems whatsoever. never had to plunge them or replace any parts. they flush completely and keep the bowl clean. if i were getting one for my house i might upgrade to the soft-close lid, but that's about all.
