90" Cabinets In 93" Kitchen

Does anyone know if you can stand up 24" deep x 90" high cabinets in a 7' 9" (93") ceiling? I have done it many times in a standard 8' high kitchen ceiling, but not yet in a 7' 9" kitchen.

No, use the Pythagorem Therom.

Can you remove the toe kick?

a^2 + b^2 =c^2

Max depth of cabinet on narrow side cannot exceed 23 3/8". As long as you can keep the width or depth less than that you're good.

Unless I'm missing something, you can. You'd need to have the cabinet front facing the floor when you stand it up. Doing it this way makes use of the toe kick cut out. Assuming it is at least a 3" x 3" cutout the resulting hypotenuse of a 24" x 90" cabinet to the toe kick edge is 92 27/64"

Re: 90" Cabinets In 93" Kitchen

Thanks for all the replies guys! Much appreciated. Looks like in a perfect world it should go. Like Xtrememtnbiker says if I lay the cabinet face down with the toe kick notch out the depth of the cab is 20". So using the Pythagorean theorem I get 92.195444". If it does not go than I will go to plan B, removing the toe kick. At lease now I have an idea.

Thanks again!

This is why I like baseless cabinets.
