Tile On Hot Mud, Cure?

Is there a cure time before installing wall tile on hot mud (bag drywall mud)?

You're not supposed to tile over it. Prime first, then tile.

Yeah Friday, but but a long weekend (working). I didn't know if I should call my tile guy. He would rather blow out a small job, like mine, on the weekend.
Anyway HO Flip Flopped.... now there is no tile going in that bath.
