State Liscence Transfer

hello, im a journeyman plumber in the state of washington. since the work dried up and the 45 day summers my wife and i were thinking of heading to texas.i know every state has their own laws regarding liscensing and i was wondering im my card would transfer, and if i would have to re test at all. i do know that some states have a transfer test for incomming journeyman.
also curious as to the wages in texas. looking for a mid to top range pay scale estimates, just to get an idea.

thanks
