Re: Upcoming Work For 2013

I have nothing signed for the spring, a couple prospects for small jobs. One developer I work for has a couple projects in the works. He has a new residential subdivision under review from the township. He has 1 of the 2 roads approved and is working on the other. He also has a commercial property under review for a small building that will have 6 rental units for offices or whatever. He is fighting with the township over variances. Both jobs total about $800,000 and are within 1 mile of each other.

Re: Upcoming Work For 2013

I have 2 appts with builders tomorrow. One is trying to decide if he should do next phase of condo project (350' of roadway with utilities & 16 condos). The other one has plans for new 3000sf house.

Only guaranteed work for spring is loam, rake & seed on 3 houses & finish subdivision road we did this year with loam, seed on tree belts & tree installation.

I remember never being worried about spring work but the way the last couple of years have gone all I do is worry.

Re: Upcoming Work For 2013

Not to say that I don't worry about it, but one thing I'm slowly learning(especially over the last 5 yrs) is that the man above seems to always take care of my family and I. No were no out building interstates, but its amazing how out of no where a job or jobs will come in. So just turning more and more of my worries over to HIM just seems to give me more peace of mind than ever before. Believe me I have to work!! I've been blessed to be several months ahead on all of my payments but still have a hefty debt load for the next 3 yrs. I'm hoping now people( with money) will get bored of not spending for the last few yrs and start spending!!!!

This is the Job Board. It's been like that since September. Only small jobs that didn't really need a schedule all last year. We did 14% of the business we did 2007 in 2012.

Start filling in those blanks. Monday, go knock on past clients doors to do follow ups.
Tuesday, go the Home Depot and instantly become the most helpful guy in the store. Bring business cards.

Put your faith in the man above.
And cover that thing with a Hooters calendar or something , until you need to look at it.

I know that situation all to well. I can't tell you what to do, but I can tell you this.

we just keep plugging along, some weeks look good and others feel abit shaky, luckily since the storm we have been very busy but who know if that will dry up or hold into the spring. keep your head up and look forward i say (or at least try to)

We are good for the year. Doing the sitework for a monster new school. After this job though 99% sure my Aunt is folding it up and I'll be out there looking for a new company to start all over with.
