Tak Tl230 S2 --- Cab Door Shocks Bad?

Anyone else have problems with the overhead cab door on Tak track loader? This thing creeps me out, its really hard to open. The "bearings" in the guide, which aren't bearings, are real loose. And I dont know if the shocks are bad, but its pretty heavy. ( My 10 year old climbed in and he couldn't open the dang thing-too heavy.) Wonder if all are like this?

Those gas lift struts go bad sometimes, same with the other door hardware. Figure out what is bad and shell out some $$ and replace.

I don't recall the exact setup of the door, but some dry lube on the rollers might help.

Maybe re- think construction equipment as 10 year- old's playground area?

Thanks for the advice. Not exactly playground equipment. I think there's a lot of value in teaching our youth about the construction trade. Lord know's we could use all the knowledgeable builders we can get.

There is equal value in teaching 10 yr olds to run construction equipment as playing on a playground.
In my not so humble opinion.

I didnt replace shocks yet, but lots and lots of wd-40 did help a bit. The shocks are still bad I believe. I wont use it. Although with the AC knob not working anyways, probably not a concern know.
