Replacing Foundation With No Footer

I have a very tiny house (288 sq ft) that I'm rebuilding and the foundation was 6" block laid above the frost line with no footers. I'm rebuilding the foundation and raising it up a block or two.

If I lay 5 courses of block, the original excavation on one end is about 8"-10" too deep for a standard footer. Should I just make the footer extra thick in this area?

I would lay 6 blocks and go deeper all around but that would probably mean that my footer drain to daylight would be running too deep...

If I'm following you right, yes you can make footer thicker at the one end. The bottom of footer wants to be level and then step up to next elevation of bottom of footer. Top of footer is then level all the way around.
