Hello

Always mostly been a lurker here. Never can remember name and password, so my wife signed me up this time, and wrote everything down
Lots of useful info on here, but seems like dirt dogs don't post as much as other trades

Re: Hello

Hi, welcome to the site.

We used to chat a lot more here in the earthwork section....but sometimes we get distracted and don't post so much.

Tell us some more about yourself, what is your main type of work, residential/commercial?

That is because other trades grab their toolbox and go home. We are too busy nights and weekends turning wrenches on our equipment and trucks.

Welcome

Re: Hello

I had emailed you once and you replied, about any oilfield work where you are. Good to be back on here where I can actually join in!
Know what you mean about maintenance, got 2'dozers, excavator, compact track loader and 3 semi's and 2 pickups. Like the old line goes " I'm the head chef and chief bottle washer"

Re: Hello

Most of my work is for property owners, land companies and farmers. Building and maintenance of roads, building and cleaning ponds, creek crossings, drainage.
This year I have more basements lined up for this month than I did all last year, and that makes me wish I hadn't sold my mini excavator and one dozer.

Gas pad work here has pretty well dried up. There is only 1 drill working in the entire state of PA. Everyone who has a water truck has them sitting. Price of oil right now, along with Gov. Wolf has killed it. The pipelines are still going strong. Can't make any money drilling for gas if you can't get the wells hooked up and online.
