have a rheem handler, do i have to have a rheem condenser

got a 3 ton 2107 rheem , handler on a remodel job.( abandoned building ,, i`m gutting )
i`d like to upgrade my house which happens to be 3 ton unit . but probably 1990-95)
i know my condenser is very old , breaks down a lot , i have to push the rest button a few times a month

question , do i have to have a rheem condenser , or can i get a different name condenser if the handler is rheem?
whats best?
i`ll have an a/c guy put it in , but if i can get it there , i`ll save a few $$
don`t want to ask him these questions

Doesn't need to be the same manufacturer. Capacity and refrigerant types should be the same

Unless the unit has a proprietary electronics communication system between the handler and compressor you should be fine. Might want to get a new TXV valve.

Different pressure rating for "new" refrigerants?
I have no clue as a Mason.

Fan speed might need to changed, make sure drain/drip pan is clean on evaporator coil.
