I've seen it mentioned that a glass of water and an apple in the morning do as good or better at waking you up than a cup of coffee.

Re: Morning Drink?

I am not a hot drink type person either, especially being in Texas where it is 80 degrees in the mornings.

My solution is iced coffee. Cold brewing generally makes the best and it is pretty easy to do.

Re: Morning Drink?

No disrespect to the op...but I didn't drink coffee much when I was 16. Lots of Mt. dew. Now I can't tolerate much of that. I decided once I was working full time in construction I was going to like coffee and be able to tolerate it black. I prefer a little cream and sugar, but I don't mind black. My reasoning was that if I was offered a cup of joe from someone's thermos, I couldn't be picky.

Uh... check your chronometer. It ain't August.

You're young; with time you will learn to appreciate hot drinks in the morning. And though I can't speak for things like cold Pepsi, hot coffee helps get that morning BM moving so you don't have to deal with needing one during the workday.

Was talking to a couple nephews that just started college this fall.. They said for cramming all night, they have 'redbull coffee'

I asked if they mixed coffee with redbull, and the said no, you brew it with redbull instead of water

You'd think so....but I've yet to personally hear about someone having heart problems directly related to them, and I know several people that drink them like water. I think the dental issues are worse though, they are worse for your teeth than pop..

A few years ago a 16 year old kid died from drinking monster. Caffeine in general isn't good for your heart.

Isn't there some lawsuit against Monster for kids dying after drinking 3-4 of those at once? I know it's not RedBull, but same idea, isn't it? I've never drank one so called "energy drink", although I have been known to drink a lot of Dr Pepper, which probably isn't a lot better for you...
