Solar Light Powered Standards For Driveway

We have a client who is asking to light up the end of a long driveway (500') where we are installing a rock feature.

The discussion of using a solar powered light came up, but I am leery of the usefulness of these both in long term and short term.

Is there a proven winner in this category or should I suggest LV?

Thanks!

Solar is fine. Use LED lighting to save energy. A couple of batteries to charge and maybe use a modified motion detector which keeps the light on low until motion is detected which turns the light up to full. Just as long as you keep enough solar panels on the system it'll work fine. If you find it not keeping up you can always add more panels. Winter would be the time to look at as sunlight is less available and the nights are longer.
