Snazzy looking web site.

As a custom home builder you don't have a regular framer?

When I did custom homes last thing I want to do is advertise for a framer.

You hoping a $3/sq foot guy????

Bids? Are you having an auction?

I might provide a quote for my services if I was interested. Good luck with your sale.

I agree the word "bid" lends it self to the realm of auctions....

However, out here on the coast it is very common for it to be interchanged with quote, cost, price & estimate.

Doesn't look that custom to me, but then again I didn't open all of the plans.

Looks like one even I could frame! Is this your own house? It says McCoy Residence.

To reply to the responses:

1. Sorry if my bid request was not kosher, I read a post where one of the contractors suggested that the party asking for "prices" post his plans so they "could all have a shot." I thought that as a pretty good idea so went with the suggestion.

2. This is a custom home, and it is for me (the builder). I may sell it in a few years depending on the circumstance, so I'm trying to keep it somewhere between full custom and spec.

3. I do have a framer (actually a few); however, they are already overloaded on other projects and more geared for luxury homes that are beyond the scope of what I'm doing.

4. The house is in the M-Streets (non-historical district).

So you are looking for a 3 buck a foot guy. Im in S.A. double that and I know a few framers in Fort Worth that might get out of bed to check it out. But likely not.
