I went to the site below in the similar threads area, ok to power wash real siding .

There seems to be the same rhetoric expressed for and against over there as well.

Interesting read but no one ever brings up using a floor machine / scrub pad on decks. I must be the only one doing it.

No your not the only one doing it. TWP also recommend that as an option if you don't have a pressure washer but under the logic on here if they recommend it then it's a bad idea so you shouldn't be using one.

Here is a decent article on staining a deck. He does mention using a pressure washer.

I have read that somewhere before. Can't remember seeing the pics though but that deck look like crap after he "cleaned" it. I would be pissed if I had paid for my deck to be cleaned and it looked like that.

I have MI-T-M 3000 PSI PW, never had any issues with it, works great.

Re: What Pressure Washer Do You Guys Use For Decks And Fences?

Get an electric pressure washer that has a PSI (approx) 1900 - 2100, that would do the job for ya!

I would personally recommend Sun Joe SPX3000 or AR Blue Clean AR383/AR390SS

PS : Read my article on Top 10 Pressure Washers

Wow I have never seen such a heated debate about pressure washing.

This has been fun to follow. But I'm going to need to make more popcorn and get a beer to keep reading.
