Did you use 4x12 stair stringers? That looks like a long unsupported span.

About 9' run, if I remember correctly. Outside stringers are 2x12 cut stringers doubled with the 2x12 cedar you see on the outside. they are solid, no bounce.

If you mean on the cedar, it's TimberPro UV. I've been using it on most projects for the last 2 years

Ya know, if it were not a vinyl deck I would seriously consider attaching them inside, it is a lot less work.
