Yes it's the Enhanced scalloped bottom. And yes replacing joists on 12" centers. Can't use plugs in it. Wherever I use a square edge piece (fascia around outside) it has to be face screwed with color match screws. I don't like that but gotta go with manufactures instructions. Thanks.

Well I Sent back the Trex Hidden fasteners and ordered the Camo Edge -X-Clips. Amazon, be here Saturday! I like that it's 410 stainless screw and 305 stainless clips. Since this deck is ground level and less than 100yds to the Ocean. Looks like (as you said) they will be much easier/faster. Thanks City!

I might see if they have any Mystics in stock and test a few. The color is a little variegated on Foggy Warf so it might hide. Thanks

Plugs are made to a go to here and there. I use here and there if a board comes loose or a repair. So guys waste too much time and money on plugging the hole deck. I think a dumbass move.

Honestly I've built decks as much as 150k and just used color matching screws on starter boards and facial. It's not a problem unless you make it a problem.

I think plugs will move and look like chitt after a while. So dont depend on them.

Anytime a factory rep tells me to "go ahead and install it" when I raise a concern about a product I received that doesn't look as advertized, I immediately test their fidelity to that position by saying "so if I install this, you'll cover the labor to remove and replace if it becomes an issue"... and then if they agree to that, get it in writing...

Usually, they'll say no, so that's when I tell them to get me what I ordered then...

The trex clip are going g to be an even bigger headache.
- not deep / long enough for enough for older dried lumber. Screws are 1-5/8.
- we tape old lumber. Keeps water from soaking in old holes. Add life framing.
- camo edge would be your best concealed at 2-3/8 long screw.

I was teaching a new guy the other day how to deck. Kid never touched a deck board in his life. We banged out almost 600sf in 3hrs 40min.

I've been averaging around 40-50min per 100sf. The cold bent boards slow you down.
No hose no guns no hassle and I'm not even using the stand up guns.

Nothing wrong with fusion or tcg or guns and hoses. This job is all small 100sf decks and would drive myself insane in the small workspace.

That was our other problem with the Fiberon clips. The screws in the old lumber.

That's the question I asked my sales rep. I didn't get to talk to the Trex rep. But I said, if I put that down and the ends are sticking up, are you or Trex gonna pay material and my labor to replace it? He said, UUHHH, no.
I said come get that chit and bring me another batch. Hopefully it will be here this afternoon or tomorrow morning. We will see. Maybe the super, duper Camo Edge-X-Clips, recommended by CITYDECKS, will pull that chit down. Thank, KAP

Yes. I am pretty sure it was stored in their warehouse with proper support. The full wrapped up bundle of 16 footers was fine but those 12's look like bananas.

Iíve watched it come off the belt at their factory after heat. It lays flat.

I believe mine were much worse. My 250# brother stood on the end and couldn't get it down.

Thanks Mike. BTW Hope you are doing good on your hip recovery. Dear WIFE just had LH hip replaced 6 weeks ago. RH side was done in Nov 2017 and works great. She was back on her horse in less than 6 months.

Almost forgot.
DO NOT USE IMPACT DRIVER use with camo. You'll strip.

Use high speed drill with clutch.
I only have hilti's and have my clutch set at 3.
Camo says try 1/2 of what the highest setting the drill has. Start with that. you want to here the clutch spin like dry wall gun.
I love it every time I here the grrr it means I'm 1screw closer to finishing.
