Re: Tigerwood Deck Progress

So is it those fancy green tools that give results like that? If I get some will my work look like that?

Very nice!

Well, I let those mitered boards run a little loose and when I came to the board that mitered into it, I put a crap load of end sealer on them, cinched up my clips and used some selectively placed hidden screws. they are staying pretty tight with minimal movement. I am happy with it and the HO is about speechless.

I told him it is wood and it will move around a little bit plus, it is a deck outside too.

well, it is the indian, not the arrow.

However, having state of the art arrows will sure help the cause.

Re: Tigerwood Deck Progress

It is all done. I am heading back out there just before dusk to get some pictures.

I will get some in the morning light too. It rained pretty hard around lunch today but, the finish still looks great and the water just beaded up and rolled off.

All touch up and details are done. Just have to get my tools out of there tomorrow.

I still want to get some pictures in the early morning and then a few after I mist it with water.

If you want to see all of them I took here is a link:

Schweet, Darcy.

Is it really as reddish as the pics look? I had the impression it was a tad more toward orange.

It is a fairer orange shade fresh off the truck and starts getting darker as soon as it hits the sun.

It turns pretty red with the oil on it and the sun.

When it is wet it looks like a dark orange mirror though.

Sure is. I used it around all the windows, doors and corners last year when I re-did the whole exterior.

Re: Tigerwood Deck Progress

Might have a customer that will want to use that same material Warner so I might shout ya for some tips if he goes for it. Sure has come out nice. I'm even tempted to use that on my own deck now.
