Re: PVC Lattice On A Pergola Roof

Rather than lattice I use 7/8" x 1" vinyl extrusions. They are generally used for picket fences but work well for shade. Just have to watch the snow load through the winter months in our area if you use narrow spacing.

Yes, I have a router for vinyl. I also have local guys with larger CNC routers for various projects.
I don't do very many large pergolas but they come up once and a while. I have quoted one recently for a seniors home so I will see what happens.
A friend/supplier uses hollow fiberglass and says they can span using 20' lengths. They get painted various colors.
Another supplier locally makes a pergola from painted aluminum extrusions - pricey though.
I also just came back from a supplier in PA that uses aluminum inserts up to 24' using 2x8 and 20' for 2x6 in vinyl pergolas. MI would be closer though.
Thanks for the information.
