Opinions From You Decking Pro's

As you already know, Im a window guy so be patient.
I am getting azek decking but using Timbertech radiance railing. The timbertech railing seems more solid than azek railing, especially the caps.
My question is this: my wife likes the black railing as do i but i am concerned with a dark colored railing fading over time? Is this a valid concern?
We are looking at Morado color Azek decking with black railing . How does that color combo look to you guys?
I guess we would then have to use black pvc lattice under the deck?
Thanks gentlemen

I've used other brand of black railings without issue. However they will certainly show dirt more, similar to a car.

I'm a trex guy, I think cali is too and can back me up....no issues with fading - oddly enough I'm not sure if the handrails have the same warranty as decking....will I be stripped of my Trex pro status for not knowing this?!

Here's a nice dark 2 tone rail/baluster combo w/ white sleeves...Pretty sharp looking. Throw in the outdoor fireplace and your wifey will think you're a super pimp

Trex had a 25 year one the Transcends railing. They are actually Fibrex, from the Anderson Windows company.

Aluminum railings are being pushed this year at the yards. Maybe look into those they are also paintable for the future. I havent priced them out yet so I cant comment there.

I'm a big an of the Azek railing. It's my go-to composite rail. The TT is very nice and they are more similar than not, now that Azek has bought TT. Either one is a great choice, IMO. Compared to the Trex railing the Azek caps are very solid.

I think the Morado looks pretty good with the black. The railings definitely contrast so make sure your layout is perfect.

I get to see this Radiance Rail almost every summer since I built it for a neighbor. I think its 7 years old now and although I'm sure its faded to some degree, it still looks black. Here's a pic at 5 years old.

I like the look of Azek Morado with a black railing. We did one a couple years ago and I thought it looked sharp.

my go to is timber radiance. especially with the lighted caps. black is black less the dirt car like cali pointed. But hey everything needs a lil servicing once in a while including your car.

Just like cali said - ever own a dark car/truck, they show everything. White, not so much....same principle

I just sold a black car and bought a white one. I'll never own another black car for as long as I live. They're absolutely beautiful when clean, but it doesn't last long.

Hey select. Just curious but any reason you bring the white skirt board around the deck up flush with the decking? I've always left the decking with about an 1 1/2" Over hang. I like it!

We do it both ways, some homeowners like only seeing the white fascia when looking at the deck and some like the overhang which gives you that shadow effect....just depends on what they want really.

I don't worry much about having a white 'strip' up top because it gets pretty much hidden under the handrails
