New Hidden Fasteners For Timbertech

I saw the timbertech rep and he showed me a new hidden fastener gun from fastenmaster made for timbertech. It supposedly allows for easier board replacement. It has a stronger hold down strength rating. It almost looks like the universal hideaway clip from tree but metal and pnuematic.

It's not the tc-g gun that's been around for a few years?

Nope not the tcg gun. Fasten master signed a three year deal with timbertech. The gun is coming to my yard in a couple of weeks

only use the plastic t clip since 2007, it holds the deck boards down very well and allows for easy removal of boards if necessary.

Only complaint we ever got about them was from some guy using wood screws in metal. mmmmnnnnnnnnnn

Here it is. The fusion by fastenmaster. Looks as fast as hidfast but better. I recently used trex hideaway universal and for the price its hard to beat the speed. I will probably give this gun a try when it comes out.

It looks like it would work on most all brands. The tc-g's work on timbertech I would imagine they would work on all the boards the tc-g's would work on. I want to buy a few of those. Where is Hartmann? I have questions. I will call my rep in the morning.

I knew as soon as I bought the Tiger gun a new method would break on the scene.
Although I like the that the TG drives on an angle snugging up boards.

The new clip is the FUSIONLoc by CPG. It is installed with the FUSION gun from FastenMaster. It is a very slick system. No loading of clips between shots.
The clip has some advantages over other systems.
Collated clips
15 clip magazine
200 Scrail magazine
mid-field removable
greatest resistance to racking
greatest pullout resistance

The system is just now hitting shelves at 20 dealers in the northeast. The clips are manufactured by FastenMaster and sold by CPG the tool is sold by FastenMaster.
We expect CPG will have this available nationwide by Jan 2016.

This is a premium clip and gun. It will be more expensive than the CONCEALoc and Tiger Claw gun.

CONCEALocs are not going away. This is our best selling clip. It will be around for a long time to come. The FUSION is another option for CPG deck builders.

We sell it to CPG. It is a clip that may work on other brands. At this time all design and testing has been directed at creating a high performing clip for Azek and TimberTech decking. It will only be available through CPG dealers.

Has it changed much since the demo at last years JLC Live? It was impressive.

The only way I will use this fusion gun is if I'm given a gun free. I can't see buying this gun.

Ethan,
What you saw at the JLC was a preproduction prototype gun. Since then it has been out on many jobs. There are many changes that we made to improve performance and reliability. The gun looks the same as what you saw at JLC last year. I didn't see you at JLC this year but the gun was there in the CPG booth being demoed and we had it at our after show Pro-Event for hands on demos.
It is available where you are. When you have a CPG deck and want to give it a shot let me know.

Re: New Hidden Fasteners For Timbertech

Just finished a CPG deck. Of course they had to pick a color that doesn't come in grooved. My helper's back hurts.

Re: New Hidden Fasteners For Timbertech

They picked a color that doesn't come grooved or a board that doesn't come grooved? They must have picked an azek board which is an over priced board imo
