I'm not a fan of white decking at all. It is blinding in the sun. It's the reason Trex doesn't sell it. Your client needs to know that. Also that the darker the colors the hotter it gets. Hope this helps.

Timbertech makes a whitewash cedar.

https://www.timbertech.com/products/...hitewash+Cedar

Azek used to make a white pvc, but got rid of it. No idea why anyone would want white decking. Build some sunglasses into the price!

Yes, blinding and also I would think it won't be so white after a little bit, will still be blinding but also look dirty.

Re: Lumberrock Decking

So as Paul Harvey would here is the rest of the story 8.5" x 40' running along the rear of the house over the rear deck with a pool in front and a 2 story screened cage.

The home owner never goes out on the deck its off a bedroom but its not the master to use the deck they would have to go upstairs.

They do sit under the deck off the kitchen for shade, its all painted white underneath including the joists and rim boards, and it looks good.

She really wants white so as its more for shade I kinda liked the t & g as from the under side it would have a planking look and be a little more water tight and no painting after.

I did see Timber Tech had White Wash Cedar and I did price it for her, my normal color is Nantucket Grey here in FL unless a customer wants to pay for Trex, I also see Timber Tech and Azek are now a union

Timbertech whitewash Cedar is more expensive than any of the Trex line.

HI Mike Timber Tech 12' White Wash grooved edge $49.09 + tax at the desk will get a little cheaper through the bid room.

Lumber Rock 12' white grooved or t & g $65.16 a board + tax never
done a lot of business with this supplier do not know if I can get a lower price.

Another brand with the beautiful description "its color thru and thru lifetime warranty comes grooved or tongue and groove, all the usual size 5/4 12s and 16s 8ft trim but also 2/6 boards."

I wonder how long it will take before another class action lawsuit will hit this manufacturer.

Greg, that's why I ran it up the flag pole looking on the web could not find out a lot.

I was buying plastic lumber all the sizes you would want 2x4 4x4 2x6 2x8 etc in all kinds of colors, great for playground stuff nice and bright doing well for a while lots of referrals, that company went t^ts up.
