How To Do Underdeck Ceiling And Dry Space On Existing Deck?

I have done 3 'dry spaces' under new decks before. We always use the edpm membrane and finish the underside with bead board of some type.

I know how to do this on a new deck no problem. I am designing a project where we have to do this on an existing deck. Deck is only a few years old so we can't rip up the decking. Our desired finish product is a tounge and grooved cedar. How would you go about doing this?

None of the systems out there such as dry snap have the finish look we want. So we have eliminated those options.

The article explains how you could do the EPDM method as a retro fit without removing the decking.
