Re: Deck Over A Steep Grade. ( 2:1 )

Damn this deck just keeps giving!!!

Letter from my client.

Hey Mike,
I hope all is well!
Some fun news…
I entered the attached photos to Feeney’s Photo contest about a month ago. I just got a call that we won 3rd place. The prize is $100. I’m having them make the check out to you. As I told them, I would not have this beautiful product if it weren’t for you. Maybe you can buy a few of your prize cigars with it! More importantly, it will be featured permanently on their website with your name as the builder. They also told me that their PR company may be contacting you and I to do a Case Study on the project.

I still want to have you over for cigars. When the $100 comes in I’ll call you up so that we can celebrate out on the deck.

Thanks again,

Rob

PS: As you can see in a few of the photos, I added a freestanding Pavilion and new furniture on top of the deck. You’ll be happy to know that nothing is screwed into your beautiful work. The Pavilion is solid as a tank and required no fastening to the Trex deck.

Can’t believe he didn’t get you to do the gazebo/pavilion thing. Is it just sitting on the decking or is it on framing?

Re: Deck Over A Steep Grade. ( 2:1 )

Still going!!!

Got this email.

Hi Mike,

I work with the PR firm that represents Feeney. I recently spoke with Rob ------, owner of the Yorba Linda home with the Trex deck and Feeney cable railing, to learn more about the project. We are planning to develop a project profile/case study based on the project and then pitch it to editors of industry trade publications for potential editorial coverage.

I wondered if you would have a few minutes next week to speak with me about the project and what was involved. If so, please let me know what day/time would work best for you. The call wouldn’t take very long (15-20 minutes at the most). If it’s easier for you, I can email you some questions and you can send me the responses at your convenience.

Just let me know what works best for you.

Thanks!

Mike.
