I've been wanting to try the titans post anchors but I'm having a hard time believeing they will be VERY strong...as in....pushing the top of the post back and forth and geting movement. How strong are they?

I found them to be very strong. In this case I had no other option as there was a 4 ply 2x8 carrying beam at one end of the deck by the stairs. I had no other idea as to how to attach the posts. I tried the titans and they work beautifully. 4" GRK RSS screws into the bottom of the post and 4 into the beam. I'm no engineer but I bet they're stronger than notching the beam. I'll probably use them from now on. :thumb up:

Why not just wait until the treated lumber is good & dry & stain it as close to the rest of the deck?
