Re: 1300 Sq.ft. Around A Pool

any clearance issues with the fridge?

did you set the sleepers on the narrow side of a 2x4? If so, how did you secure them?

I like the detail how you wrapped the pool edge-nice solution.

Re: 1300 Sq.ft. Around A Pool

Yes we will paint all the end cuts. Also there's some border that isn't fastened down yet maybe why it's a little uneven at this point. We fastened everything down using 1/4" Tapcon. We had to scribe every sleeper. Painstaking work.

As for the fridge. It clears and can be removed. We pulled the fridge out, removed the feet and set it on 1" rubber pads. We cheated the elevations at the slider to be able to get the screen out and the fridge. Sloped it over a long distance can't even tell.

Re: 1300 Sq.ft. Around A Pool

Mike, can you tell me more about the sleepers...only time I've installed I've used 3/8" sleeved anchors 12"-18"OC, put them on the flat and shimmed between the difference with shims I cut from PT lumber.

How far are the tapcons drilled in and what's the spacing? I'm assuming since you use this method, you have no doubt about how well they hold. that sounds like a lot of scribing (y)

Tapcons just hold it in place. Not really structural if it's properly scribe. Here's how we scribe each board.

Re: 1300 Sq.ft. Around A Pool

I always loved pools decks in the summer time. I had a spiel down with customers that always worked to get permission to swim. When it's 100 plus degrees there's nothing like a quick dip to bring the life back in you.

Dropped my laser and other things in my bags. Including the vac hose while it was on. Toasted my filter.

I would have fell in the pool at least five times during the job.

Looking good

Re: 1300 Sq.ft. Around A Pool

So I routed a round over on the deck edge and painted the exposed cap. Due to the math there had to be a ripped edge at both ends of the jucuzzi, in order to picture frame it.
