Tip For Avoiding Bubbles?

When I do seams with durabond, I soak my tape in a bucket of water prior to taping .I've found it really helped to avoid bubbles. My theory is that the lime in the durabond absorbs the water so fast that if the tape is dry, it will lose it's bond. Since I started doing this, I've had no trouble with bubbles. Anyone else do this?

Re: Tip For Avoiding Bubbles?

I always pre fill with Durabond and havehad the same problem even when I use green lid pretty thin. I started doing the samething with wetting the tape and I also have not had a problem with bubbles since.
