Then again, it's a good excuse to have in a rocker's pocket.

Green lid has more glue or binder, as I understand it. But folks like the lighter buckets (blue, purple, etc.)

As I said my rockers will tape with all purpose or 20 minute then top coat with lightweight because a sanding is easier.

I very much trust their opinion because I have run into it as well. He felt it was one brands more than another as for where I buy mine I get it wherever I find it when I need it I don't pay much attention but I might start now.

I do this also, while wondering about the minimum width needed to hold the bond. Especially on stomped areas.

Mesh....or fiber tape? Mesh will wobble and crack the fastest on that one.

This product https://www.saint-gobain-northameric...rands/fibatape

I seldom ever have a problem but I do run into it the paper problem once in a while in which I chalk it up to my inconsistency but after my rocker said it I feel less liable. Im a pretty good finisher.

I don't use that tape because dry mud doesn't seem to stick to it well, just "around" it to the rest of the mud. But fibafuse, sure.
