Thank you Sir Mixalot---I'll be picking up a roll of that corner bead and giving it a shot--

That product would save me a lot of trips for forgotten corner bead.

I've been using Original Straight Flex for inside corners for many years.

That thing drove me crazy. I told the homeowner I would put a new battery in for him since it was probably about 18' up. He said he was going to pick one up and have it there the next day when I came back to finish.

He forgot to pick one up. So day 2 was with the beeping beeping beeping...

Yeah Mike, I think the Uno-bead is a perfect solution for always' having corner bead with you at all times. Even if it's not the main corner bead product someone uses on bigger drywall projects.

Let us know how you like it.

I'll post when we try it----we are taping a little kitchen today--no corner bead needed---next job---I'll let the site know what I think.

Great vid, thanks.

Is this stuff readily available on the left coast? I've been using the inside corner stuff for a while, occasionally on outside corners -- shh!, and really like it. (I do very little drywall, so shopping/traveling with corner bead is a pain in the $%.)

It looks good for limited uses. There are times where I've done the same thing with level line. This would more likely be a better option. I wouldn't use it in place of metal for two reasons. One: it limits adjustability where the framing is off. Two: It takes much longer to install. I use a paslode which helps me install a stand up in 20 seconds. I do like the fact that it uses less mud to coat. I am also not a fan of mudding bead. Up north here temperature changes causes framing to shrink and swell. Mudded beads tend to crack and peel unless it's over metal stud.

It looks like a great product. Definitely a great idea. I would use it but in limited areas. Thanks for the heads up Paul. I'm not sure I can even get it up here for those reasons.

One more thing. Gotta say, I loved the reflection of you holding the camera in you mouth. Being able to do that while mudding and narrating is impressive. But can you core a apple chef of the future?

It's designed to grab and bond with the mud.

It has greater flexibility when the walls are off. They also name Straight Flex BIG and Straight Flex HUGE for larger gaps.

It's also more forgiving where seasonal movement is a concern.

Thank you.

Yes it's available on the West coast.
Here's a link to the StraitFlex dealers in California from the dealer locator on their website http://www.straitflex.com/ca.php
