I've run into it more than I'd care to! However, when I pull up in my Silverado, and get some tools out of my toolboxes,... I have to laugh! In fact, my first arguement with my boyfriend was over setting the toilet, I just grabbed it from him and told him to get out of the way! He does the Cosby thing, and leaves it alone!!! Smart boy, more should learn! But really, what am I supposed to do, argue with God because I happen to have a talent to fix and build stuff? Kind of pointless I think. I guess I'm just stepping on an overdose of testostrone! In the end, I still have the truck and the tools!

Blones, you need to get out more, you're missing half the human race and what they might have to offer that you are blinded to.

I worked with a ticketed carpenter back in the seventies (female) and learned a tremendous amount from her, and the best drywall/concrete finisher I have ever seen was a 28 year old woman. Yes, she can carry two buckets of mud, and lift 12' sheets of 5/8 over her head, all day any day of the week or month.

Unless you're joking (poorly), you're simply ignorant in this regard.

Not that that even deserves a reply but yes I can carry two buckets of mud up stairs. I have currently worked the hawk and trowel for three weeks straight, 10 hours a day..might be a little sore but still going. I make more money than the men on the sites I work at. And there is nothing wrong with taking a shower and putting on some clean clothes after work, you don't have to look disgusting all the time to prove you're a hard worker.

Re: I'm A Girl And Starting A Drywall Company

Just got done reading through this thread...

sigh.

Shall we all just pull out our d**ks right now too and compare who's the biggest? How about trucks - who's got the highest lift kit? How about height - we got us some Napoleon complexes in here?

Just 'cause they're female don't mean they can't work hard...I've met plenty of guys that don't work hard so back the f#$% off the gender line. A d**k don't mean anything when it comes to how hard a person can work.

Or is your strength & stamina the only thing going for you?

Mac
