I just got a 6500 sq ft house. This will be the biggest house i have ever done. I have done commercial work this big but never a house. Its crazy big. Brand new construction. I got the drywall, paint and trim. Gonna be a nice one!!
CONGRAT'S! ...
Get in there and get it done asap with an eye for detail... a reputation can develop quickly among GC's from such an opportunity...
This is a win for ALL of us who ever wished we could get something like this only to be beat out by someone else who ultimately screws up the job and makes it harder for the rest of us to land such a deal.
Houses like that, they have 1k S/F closets. Kitchens big enough to serve 200 people out of and have more bathrooms then a rock concert has honeybuckets
keep your eyes on sparky they are usually the ones runnin bhind on a project like that:jester: I started the drywall on a home over 15000' floor a year ago. I only had 6 weeks to do... sparky still opening up walls to relocate. Change order after change order...keep up on them
this job is new construction, will be ready for me the end of june. I am hanging , finishing, painting, trim, and tile. Cant wait to get started. I will post progress pics as i go. Just got one of those fancy smart phones that takes good pics. just need to figure out how to get them on here from my phone, LOL
send pic to your email then download to computer, click on the paperclip thingy above post and it will direct you to downloads, find pic and open then upoload. Piece of cake once you figure it out. Would like to see some pics of that one:thumbsup:
yeah i lucked out with this one. Ive been working but until this job i wasnt booked very far out. Pretty much just 1 or 2 small jobs ahead. A lot of the jobs of been landing this year are very small. But as long as im working guess i cant complain too much. Tomarrows big project. 10 sheets of drywall, hang and finish, LOL i hope i can handle it.
more proof that big house constructin is still going on.
ive framed a few. also did a major addition to a house that was 1500 sq ft and turned it into a 6000 sq ft frame to finish. fun job but took 7 or 8 months and went way over budget
