Stupid Thin Stone Question

Customer has some thinstone to install, Eldorado limestone most likely. When I called the salesperson today they could tell me how many lnft in a box of corners but had no idea on sqft and seemed to have zero interest in finding out. (my normal supplier doesn;t sell Eldorado)

I'm sure one of you guys could tell me...I'm even having a hard time finding it on their website

Small box is 10-11 SqFt and big box is 100-110 SqFt on most of types of Eldorado Stone.

Re: Stupid Thin Stone Question

And FYI, if you need 6 or more small boxes, just get the big box, the price will be about the same or less.

he said there were 7 linear feet per box (small box)...he thought maybe 3. sqft, meaning that each stone would only be 6" if stretched out, didn';t sound right to me at all, I figured a typical return would be 4" and the long part would be at least 8".

10 sqft per box of corners sounds good to me

Re: Stupid Thin Stone Question

7-9 LnFt for corners or 64-80 for big boxes.

Here is the formula for removing the corners from the rough SqFt:

LnFt corners * .7 = A
Total SqFt - A = SqFt flats needed

In other words, a LnFt of corners is roughly equal to .7 SqFt of wall area.
