When I encounter a situation where the siding would run into the ground I will flash the wall , I/W then use a PVC board , 8", then a drip cap and side. Might be better ways , but I have found it works pretty good.

I considered a water table with boral. I'm not a fan of PVC and paint limitations.

Never have used boral , not common here. The paint limitation on the PVC can be a problems at times. Lots of time I have white trim on a house so the PVC white works out.

I don't know why it is not carried around here. When I ask about it normally get the deer it the headlights look. Lol Think I need to push for some to be brought in.
