Polyurethane Foundation Repair Injection Kit?

Framing a basement and it turns out they have a large crack from floor to ceiling that seems to be seeping water.

Its for a family friend so I told them i'll take a crack at using the DIY repair kit if it saves them a buck.

Any recommendations on which brand is the move? I am on amazon and theres just too many choices ranging from $100-500.

Re: Polyurethane Foundation Repair Injection Kit?

For a non-structural crack fill, use urethane. I don't know the products, but the basic is to add some injection ports, patch the remainder of the crack (inside and out), and fill it bottom to top.

I have a gallon of Stratathane ST-520 I never used, along with some ports. If interested, PM me and maybe we can work something out.

Some education.

There are plenty of products/systems out there, making the choice is up to you.

Search crack injection you'll get a lot of results.

Re: Polyurethane Foundation Repair Injection Kit?

We've got a similar situation, 8" wide concrete tilt up buildings with hairline cracks that are going all the way through, non structural so it looks like polyurethane injection will work.

Found a company called Emecole that has a good product, it has a removable sealant for the inside of the wall that is stripped off after the product is applied on the outside. The ports should be every 4-6" which is okay, the surface needs to be dry to attach the ports, can be done with a heat gun, it all sounds good but it's a little pricey, almost $500.00 for about 40' of cracks.

Does anyone know of a similar product that is a little less expensive or is this pretty standard for concrete crack waterproofing?

I haven't seen a cheap repair kit yet. It's chraper if you put together your own kit, which is a PITA.
