Hi just have a small job, for a couple of days, but maybe more.. Finshing up a rehab of a 1st floor unit , and we want to cut a hole for a new window into a masonry wall about 3 stories high (the window will be about 10 feet high). Could do it ourselves, but why not get someone with experience to help us out?! After the window, if you want you can help finish things off or until you find another job. Hoping to pay $15 an hour for the masonry work and $10 an hour for miscellaneous. Only have work for a week to a month, but it will get you out of the house and get you some walking around money..! please give me a brief description of how you would proceed to make an opening, and a little bit about window openings you have cut before and what kind of tools you have or would want to rent. Thanks
  • Compensation: $10 to $15 an hour
  • This is a part-time job.
  • Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
  • Please, no phone calls about this job!
  • Please do not contact job poster about other services, products or commercial interests.

You must have a blood hound nose to find good jobs like that! No wonder you haven't been posting for several weeks.

I bet the guy saw your good craftsmanship and has been feeding you cherry work like that for the last month.

Milking that gravy train for 10 bucks an hour, you are one sly dog.

Could someone please define Free Mason please? Malco...

A free mason, as in a mason with free time? Or a Freemason, as in a member of the Masonic Lodge? I can't really tell what the guy wants.

Thanks Malco,

Did anyone ever tell you that you are the greatest fountain
of useless information on this forum.

Not sure what that means exactly, but I think it could be
construed as a compliment.

Re: Need A Free Mason To Cut Window Opening

I Am Freemasonry
by Ray Vaughan Denslow, FPS

I AM FREEMASONRY, I was born in antiquity, in the ancient days when men first dreamed of God. I have been tried through the ages and found true. The crossroads of the world bear the imprint of my feet, and the cathedrals of all nations mark the skill of my hands. I strive for beauty and symmetry.

IN MY HEART is wisdom and strength and courage of those who ask. Upon my altars is the Book of the Holy Writ, and my prayers are to the One Omnipotent God. My sons work and pray together, without rank or discord, in the public mart and in the inner chamber. By signs and symbols I teach the lessons of life and death, and the relationship of man with God and of man with man.

MY ARMS ARE WIDESPREAD to receive those of lawful age and good report who seek me of their own free will. I will accept them and teach them to use my tools in the building of men, and thereby, find direction in their own quest for perfection so much desired and so difficult.

I LIFT UP the fallen and shelter the sick. I hark to the orphan's cry, the widow's tears, the pain of the old and destitute. I am not church, nor party, nor school, yet my sons bear a full share of responsibility to God, to country, to neighbor and themselves. They are freemen, tenacious of their liberties and alert to lurking danger.

AT THE END I commit them as each one undertakes the journey beyond the vale into the glory of everlasting life. I ponder the sand within the glass and think how small is a single life in the eternal Universe. Always have I taught immortality, and even as I raise men from darkness into light, I am a way of life.

I AM FREEMASONRY.
