I Loved And Hated This Article

In my regular internet browsing I came across this article:

I didn't care for the comparison of this intricate brick work to "pixelated text". It seemed to oversimplify the hard work that went into everything.

Some of the images are absolutely astonishing. The time and care that went into all the work is wonderful.

And the shaking minaret at the end, that's just crazy.
I carried my first bricks before I learned to ride a bike.
Also, I sell lightweight plastic mortar boards:

Re: I Loved And Hated This Article

"Pixelated" in this sense just means broken into segments to comprise the whole. It is not pejorative, it is descriptive.

Amazing brick work for sure.

Re: I Loved And Hated This Article

The intense development of brick/tile patterns is due to the crazy ban Islamic factions place on drawing actual images.

Just one more reason the Islamic world adds very little of intellectual value to the rest of the world, for example 15 million?Israelis have won more intellectual awards then the entire 1.5 billion Islamic peoples have....

Some economic historians think the monies spent on the great Gothic Cathedrals of the Western world delayed the end of the middle ages by at least 100 years.
