Foundations

What some things I should look for in a foundation contractor? Which is better post tension or conventional steel rebar?

Re: Foundations

It's my understanding that post tension is usually used on commercial and industrial jobs for poured beams and floors that are suspended, not in slab- on-grade pours or foundations

Re: Foundations

Post tensioned slabs are used a lot throughout central Texas as they can provide a cost savings over conventional in our expansive clay soils. I would hope that you have a structural engineers slab design rather than letting the contractor make the desisions as to how and how much reinforcing is needed.
