Clinkers


Now my client is possibly interested in using Clinkers, manufactured by Colonial Brick out of Indiana...Do you guys have any information to share..or has anyone done any jobs with these guys..thanks

"Clinkers" sound like the bricks that got more direct heat when fired and are dark, dense and sometimes misshappen. If that is the case they will absorb mortar/moisture less and be more difficult to lay. And fewer courses can be set in a day. Kind of like setting warped pavers in a wall. Figure on a higher installation cost. I'm sure they can be very beautiful.
