Check This One Out!

Got a call from a pretty prominent local who has a ten year old house in need of some masonry services. Saw-cutting walkways, patios and repointing, some brick replacement, sealant work, waterproofing...the list goes on.

I'm still digesting the scope and not even sure I want to get tangled up here as many of you know, I run a pretty small crew

Anyhoot, a lot of leads are coming in this year so far already...much brighter outlook than usual this time of year so far for sure...wonder if it has anything to do with making us great again

This place has some pretty nice details, the owner really went out of his way to make it nice.

Re: Check This One Out!

Nice looking project.

I think you have a valid case to tell the owner it's mutually beneficial that whoever does the job does it on a T&M basis. That way you're going to pay attention to detail to get it right, nobody's going to be in a hurry to get out of there quick to maximize profits, and he's going to get the best job possible, with the opportunity at any time to end the agreement and pull someone else in if he thinks he's not getting what he wants.

Don't take the guy to the cleaners but make sure you're getting what you could be getting if you were out doing production work.

Beautiful job. Be sure to tell him that.
