I feel the same way when loading the brake alone.
Learned to walk/slide it across saw horses to get into position.
I'm afraid anything heavy I put on my shoulder will squash my already diminishing height!

Re: WTB Aluminum Stage

Thanks guys, maybe I will take a look at a one man rated. I deffinetly come across more of those used for sale than the two man. Heck I should be used to the bouncing Me and my dad always used 2"x10" planks on our wooden pump poles. Until I finally bought some aluminum planks Next big siding job I'll invest in the aluminum poles.

AW, I have never seen anyone else notch their joist hangers on the rafters like that. I have done the same thing on everything from stringers to rafters

As for loading my brake. I invested in a set of wheels for the one end. I have a 10'6" vanmark, they sell a wheel kit made to fit it. Heck Im sure all the manufactuers probly sell them too. I can wheel it over to my tailgate then just lift one end at a time. Now as for putting it on the rack I usually eat a big bowl of weaties those mornings

I always find it amusing when I see a van with a 10' brake on top of it. I'm too old to work that hard. That's what they make trailers for.
