Re: Makita 2708 On Ebay

I haven't bought anything on eBay for years. Been looking for a another makita saw and this one came up. Seen one on cl about 3 hours north of me for $125. The one with the green base. Too far to drive .

Looks like either an unused Christmas present.....or else that is good sales and marketing technique with the Christmas tree in the photo.

That's great. Those old saws are still worth the money. Makes me want to keep looking and buying them up when they are under $200 .

I just picked one up on cl for $100. He is coming down for Christmas and bringing it with the family. I seen that one still boxed up. I bet it will go over $600 for sure.

I'm happy. I was hoping it would hit that since I messed up and put free shipping.

Better put signature required on the shipping, Ebay loves to screw the seller.

Your right. One message to ebay and they pull the money right out of your account.

Damnn...that's a good chunk of change for a little 8" portable saw. I have one and bought it 15yrs ago used for 75$. Good little saw but id never pay a fraction of that. Prefer to use my bosch 4000 any day over the little makita. Though the makita has its place. I see decent ones on CL for 150$ +/-...
