FS Oliver 144BD 8" Jointer

I have a 1959 Oliver 8" jointer for sale.

It has a 1hp direct drive 3phase motor.

I have a spare set of knives for it as well.

It also comes with the original owners manual

B,
I posted a video of all my stuff once, up and running.

I think I could have better luck parting it out, seems people think that is what I want to do with it. Not anyone here though.

Re: FS Oliver 144BD 8" Jointer

I'd still take it Darcy. I think that you now see the other side of the coin, trying to sell the arn. I think that there is just too much brainwashing in the consumer, like brand new is better.

When I moved to Washington State, I got arn in the form of a '71 Chevy 3/4 ton. It was a beaut and parts were silly cheap. But it got 6 mpg

Wish you were nearby Darcy.

Oh, I could figure out a way to get it to you.

I don't think there was a better built 8" jointer out there.

$700?
That's what I just paid for my DJ20.

3phase is going to slow allot of ppl down.
But your price sounds very fair.

Add a fairly inexpensive VFD and you can easily run this machine on single phase service.

3 phase motors are so much nicer then single phase.

I put a Rotary Phase Converter together for my shop.

I can start up to a 10hp motor and run up to 30 hp of machinery combined.

Re: FS Oliver 144BD 8" Jointer

How long is the bed on that Oliver?

I won't ask you to put this thing on hold, but I am putting my General International on Craigslist, in the hope that it sells fast and I can purchase this Oliver. I have 3ph at my shop.

How do I go about getting an estimate on shipping costs.

I will shoot you a PM later on today.

There are a few ways to get things across the country, I can give you some info about that later.
