Re: Aluminum Genie 24' Contractor Lift- Make Reasonable Offer

can I ask why you no longer use them? would they work for lifting a beam into location or just getting it near where it needs to go.
I am interested for sure. I can't send you PMs because you have elected not to accept them. i'd be interested in paying more if you can meet me like half way or something like that. i have to see how close I am to buffalo.

Re: Aluminum Genie 24' Contractor Lift- Make Reasonable Offer

My brother was the plant manager at a fire & safety equipment distributor and the company was merged here locally and they were going to throw them out for scrap believe it or not. So I am not looking to get rich here, I only have my time involved in getting them to my garage- thats all. I was going to use the lifts for some other project I had in mind but- they are to massive for my idea.
They do work, but there is only 1 forklift for both of them as I stated earlier. As far as lifting beams- depends on the weight of the beam and platform conditions- I don't think dragging these through mud is an option , unless a poured slab, I would say no way- they way in at 375#
As far as PM- I had no idea- I fixed that, tried to send something to Angus, and - well I don't know what happened , anyways , yes- you can PM now.
Thanks for your interst- you guys want any more information - let me know, I will take any reasonable offer- over the scrap price-$200.00.
Brian

I lift 30' 8x8's all day long.
They are made mainly for duct work so you have the abilty to adjust things a 1/16" while the piece is in the air.
I am able to load by myself and haul in a ranger short bed.

what about lifting LVL beams for ridges or beams in basements. i would think two of them would be able to handle over 1000 lbs. just have to find out how much lvl weigh by size.

Re: Aluminum Genie 24' Contractor Lift- Make Reasonable Offer

Hi Brian,

I was fighting with the freight issue, first quote from New Penn....$750

But I just got one for $250 plus $100 for power tailgate service. So I am ready to get this out of your place.

I guess the next thing is, do we need the tailgate service? can you be there to meet a driver, I hate to handcuff you to the your shop waiting for a truck.

Is there a day that is best for you? I will paypal you for this.

So let me know what is going to be the easiest way for you

Kevin call my cell if it is easier to work out the details 508 245-3476

Okay, I'll take them.

But you have to buy me a new set of tires so I can make the drive up there to get them.
