Check out EasyCare.

Otherwise, you will have to cut the price drastically until greed overcomes fear. You don't want to do that.
Nothing wrong with the truck, just can no longer afford it. The KBB valued it at $27,500 I believe.... So I was just simply going by that.

That is indeed correct. I figured this would be a great place to spread it around on given the demand for this kind of vehicle in this profession.

That very well could be what its worth in Long Island. Around my parts I don't see that truck selling for more than 20.

I'm in the market for a truck like this. I'm assuming this is 4wd. I'd only pay $18,000.00 max in my area. I'm not trying to slight you or your truck but that's what they're worth to me.

Someone that sells a newer model vehicle are selling for a reason. Can't afford it or don't like it. It's not my problem that you may owe more than it's worth. I buy used to get the best deal, not to pay on par with a dealership.

Re: 2011 Dodge Ram 1500

That truck is not a Laramie it is a Bighorn...that's a big difference. It's not stripped down but it's not loaded either. The truck may have stickered for 42k but it would have sold for 32k unless whoever bought it first didn't know what they were doing with Ram. You can pretty much walk up to any Ram truck, take the sticker price, deduct 10K and start your negotiating from there. How do I know..I have three of them..

The other thing that is hurting you at the price you are trying to get is this...it has the 6 speed tranny, with the new 8 speed attached to the Hemi it's a totally different truck, and well worth the extra 5k you could get the same truck for new.

Unless they just wanted your truck, you can get better new financing, with a better tranny, for not much more money on the same truck.

List it at 18-20 and you might have more luck, dealer will prob give you about that in trade as well.

The dealer was giving about $30,000 in a trade in.

More likely 20k in trade-in and 10k in a markdown you could have gotten anyway.

I don't think dealers ever give more than wholesale on trade-in no matter what they say.

Then you should probably take it, it blue books at $25
Take it to carmax they will buy it, if they give you full trade in you'll get your asking price.

It would be more if it were a Laramie

Dealers use black book pricing. It's nothing like blue book pricing as I found out when I took my SUV in to trade. But yes the $30k was prob the $10k off Sticker plus the trade.

Yes, dealers use the black book, which is lower than blue book....which was the point on the 30k trade in value I was trying to make.

Seems a bit off, no exact mileage and the trim package was quoted wrong. I mean blow up the pic and it's clearly a Big Horn, says so right on the tail gate...

I wouldn't pay that much unless it was certified from a dealer with a new warranty...

I didn't dispute it being a big horn, did I? Simple mistake. If I was hiding anything then why would I put a picture up with it clear as day?

Have you tried bringing it to a dealer to sell? We have several dealers here that will buy cars for decent prices without trade in.
