Trouble posting pictures

I can no longer post pictures for some reason. They simply won't load. I've used the same iphone to post pictures before.

Any idea how to trouble shoot this problem?

I don't use a smart phone. I use a site called postimage.org. Freeware. It's probably more cumbersome. I right click copy an image and save it. I open postimage.org and I direct that site to download my saved image and postimage.org presents it in many forms to "copy." I use the second "copy" option on the list ("Save as a direct link"). Then I go to my post and click the icon "Insert Image" field box above (top tool bar here) and press ctrl+c to insert the postimage.org URL image into my thread. The picture appears in my thread.

Glad to know it isn't just me.

I tried to post pics of my new dump truck in the "Things I Love" thread, and never could get it to work.

Tried about 12 friggin' times. Finally gave up.

I'm not going to all that trouble. Download onto computer and post them on the manage attachments button. Always worked til just recently.

yup, it's broken....

and VERY SLOW....

Try resizing them. If you don't know how, email them to yourself and choose "Medium" size. Then save to computer and post from there, or save to your phone.

i just tried uploading a pic i have previously posted.

it will not upload & i get some sort of error message...

Hmmm...works fine. I do get the frame work jumping around as it finds itself which is horribly annoying.

In the TBA thread https://www.contractortalk.com/f40/t...6536/index958/

I'm on page 958 with page 959 available for me to change to. But all it does is keep going back to the beginning of page 958. This includes any link to new posts in that thread, so I can't see anything beyond page 958.

I am going to do a thread rebuild but that thread may need a part 2 because it is getting very long. Give me a few minutes to check it.

I was wondering about that. I've done it to the take a pic of your job thread.

But the Things I hate thread is longer, I think.

I may need to start part 2s for the super long threads.

You TBA thread should be working now.

It is usually one of 2 things for iPhones.

1. The image is way too big.

2. The file extension may be funky if it took a live photo. Try editing the image and resaving it.

I'll give it a try.

I uploaded some iPhone images to my PC and noticed several funky file extensions from where I had taken some "live" images by mistake.

The one where you take the picture and it records about 1 1/2 seconds of video. So when you show the picture you touch the screen and you get a micro video.

I'm assuming.

Sorry, I forgot this site's forum had that ability. That's a great feature of some forums (not having to go outside to post a pic as a url).
