Tried This For Site Woes?

For some reason, if I type "contractortalk" in my browsers field box, it brings me to the site, but loads slowly and other anomalies.

However, when I Google "contractor talk" and get the results, I click on
"Contractor Talk" (not the main top result return, but the one below it) and the site loads almost instantly with the forum listings (not the main page). Maybe it's using my cached previous forum visits and bypassing the main front page and it's problems. Anyway, it works for me. I don't really read the stuff on the main front page anyways. Anyone concur?

Seems visiting the main front page is where it bogs down. If you use a link other than the front page and link directly to the forum listings instead, all goes fine. I'm not sure that's what the forum owner wants since there's lots of stuff on the main front page (ad revenue, links, articles etc.)

Hmm not replicating this on my end.
Are you still getting the slowness with this process?
I tested this on Chrome/WIN10.

Yes. I can go to forums directly like I'm going to do from now on.

No disrespect, but the main page is fuked.

Re: Tried This For Site Woes?

We do have a laundry list of glitches with the homepage. It's treating itself like a separate website in some instances, not connected to the forum at all.

Tech will hopefully be able to get it sorted soon
