Suggestion - Regional Forum Section

I noticed this forum doesn't have a regional section. I'm on a handful of car forums and I think all of them have a regional section. Members on this forum can benefit greatly like members of car forums by meeting up and networking with other members and contractors in their local area. Maybe the site moderators here can put something together for this forum. If in need of an idea, check out https://www.ft86club.com/forums/ and take a look at their Regional Forums - Sub Forums section.

Sheesh.....FNG trying to rock the boat already....

Part of what is so enjoyable about this forum is communicating with guys on every level from all over.

It may be a serious question or we just poke fun at, ridicule, body slam or shame them......

Many guys list their locations.

Try making a post asking Calif guys to PM you for contact.

Considering the number of people who can't even be bothered to list their location in their profile, I'd say the idea is a non-starter for this particular site.

It's been proposed before; never got a lot of support.

lol. i donít think a regional forum will lessen any communications made on any other parts of the forum. from my experience, regional forums are more used for sharing local deals, reviews on vendors, vendors with hard-to-find things, events nearby, etc. i guess i can try starting a thread for members local to me to get in touch.

Give me some time to discuss this with the moderator team and evaluate if this would be a benefit here or not.

Never ask a man if he's from Texas. If he is, he'll let you know. If not, there's no use embarrassing him.

Re: Suggestion - Regional Forum Section

Just choose the forum section that it is most closely related to and include your area in the content if it is relevant to the discussion.

But you still can't ask a "how much do I charge" question.

Re: Suggestion - Regional Forum Section

At this time we have decided not to add a regional forum section as those topic can easily be posted into other forum sections. If we decide (later on) to look at this again, we will notify the community.

I am going to close this thread for now so that it doesn't continue to alert our tech support team.
